2Kind’s mission is to increase equitable access to knowledge, resources, funding, mentorship, and professional connections for individuals pursuing careers in the film, arts, and creative industries. About 2Kind
2Kind was recently founded in 2025 to address a persistent challenge within the film, arts, and creative industries: talented individuals often lack access to the professional relationships, knowledge, and resources necessary to build sustainable careers. Our founders are accomplished film and arts professionals whose combined experience spans major motion picture production, fine arts, screenwriting, creative entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership.
We support disadvantaged visual artists, filmmakers, writers, musicians, designers, and other creatives through workforce development programming, mentorship and apprenticeship opportunities, entrepreneurship support, networking events, microgrants, project funding, donated equipment, copyright and intellectual property education, and affordable creative spaces.
A defining characteristic of 2Kind is our commitment to connecting participants directly with accomplished industry professionals who provide mentorship, career guidance, technical expertise, and real-world exposure to creative careers. Through partnerships with filmmakers, producers, musicians, educators, and other creative leaders, participants gain access to professional networks that are often inaccessible to newcomers and underrepresented voices.
